Kromopan

Kromopan is a chromatic alginate with more than 168 hours of dimensional stability. It is dentists’ top choice among alginates. The chromatic phase indicator helps with the preparation of impressions without having to worry about temperature changes or specific water hardness.

Kromopan’s color indicator will guide the operator through the step-by-step procedure.

  • Purple: Spatulate until the pink color appears.
  • Pink: Load the tray and wait for the white to appear.
  • White: Insert in patient’s mouth to take the impression.

The set time in the mouth is only 30 seconds which allows for a more comfortable experience for your patient.

Storing

Impressions taken with Kromopan will remain dimensionally stable for 168 hours if stored in a Safe-lock Bag without adding water, wet paper or wet cotton. Alginor-Ortho

Alginor-Ortho is an orthodontic-specific alginate with a chromatic phase indicator. It boasts more than 100 hours of dimensional stability, so there’s no need to pour immediately. Its high elasticity and resistance to tears helps maintain accuracy for impressions with heavy undercuts and brackets.

The chromatic phase indicator helps with the preparation of impressions without having to worry about temperature changes or specific water hardness. If temperature changes modify working and setting time, the color indicator will change accordingly. Alginor-Ortho chromatic phase indicator is a guarantee for perfect mixing and timely insertion in the oral cavity.

Alginelle

Alginelle is a non-chromatic alginate with more than 168 hours of dimensional stability, so there’s no need to pour immediately. This alginate by LASCOD was formulated with the same application specifications as Kromopan. However, it differs from Kromopan because it does not have a chromatic phase indicator. Its orange color gives an excellent contrast and helps the user evaluate the quality of the impression.

The set time in the mouth is only 30 seconds which allows for a more comfortable experience for your patient.

Millenium

Millenium is the first of a new generation of alginates. This top quality product is used for high precision impressions with detail definition up to 15 micron. It offers maximum accuracy and is best used when details are essential for quality prosthesis preparation. Millenium also offers 168 hours of dimensional stability so there’s no need to pour immediately. When preparing non-removable prosthesis, Millenium is the right product to use.

The set time in-mouth is only 30 seconds which allows for a more comfortable experience for your patient.

Art-Typo

Art-typo is an extra-fine specific, type-3 plaster for use with articulators. As fast-setting plaster, it is characterized by its excellent bonding properties, very low expansion values and extreme resistance.

Art-Typo is compatible with most available products for the isolation of plaster against plaster. The working time can be adjusted with Time Out.

Orthotypo 3

Orthotypo 4

Ortotypo 4 is a type-4, extra-hard stone specifically developed for all orthodontic models. Characterized by its hardness, extra-fine granulometry, low expansion and fast setting time, Ortotypo 4 is compatible with all impression material and all products for the isolation of plaster against plaster.

Ortotypo 4 is often used with acrylic resins (both hot or cold polymerization processes) on an unaltered surface. It has low breakage risk. The working time can be adjusted with Time Out.

Opentypo

Opentypo is a type-2 plaster specifically developed for flask use, articulator model setting, and study models. This product has an excellent resistance to undercuts. Opentypo’s micronized powder is easy to mix, and after hardening, is very smooth which eases the prosthesis extraction. Low expansion values, high resistance to compression, excellent workability, and fast setting time allow the preparation of an accurate and economical prosthetic apparatus.

Singletypo 3

Singletypo 3 is a type-3, color-changing hard stone with extra-fine granulometry specific for the preparation of total and partial removable master models, metal framework, study, preliminary and antagonist models. The product’s excellent accuracy, resistance to wear, low-expansion and fast-setting time can satisfy the most demanding professional requirements.

Kromotypo 3

Kromotypo 3 is a type-3, color-changing, hard stone with extra-fine granulometry specific for the preparation of total and partial removable master models, metal framework, study, preliminary and antagonist models.

Color changing process:

  • After mixing water and powder, the compound color turns to light-blue.
  • When the color turns to purple it is time to cast the model.
  • Finally, when the compound color turns back to light-blue the model can be removed from the impression.

The product’s excellent resistance to compression and abrasion favors the preparation of non-removable prosthesis. The extra-fine granulometry of Kromotypo 3 is a guarantee for obtaining accurate fine and homogeneous stone with high resistance to compression, abrasion, chipping. Kromotypo 4

Exploit

LASCOD’s innovative new impression tray Exploit is a result of studies conducted by LASCOD Research Laboratories. These studies were focused on creating an impression-taking tool that is both innovative and economic.

Features

  • Retention: Exploit is the only impression tray with a satin finish for better retention. The absence of retention edges facilitates the removal of residual material, which breeds spores and bacteria in the mouth.
  • Total adaptability: Exploit is the only impression tray with an anatomical design for the utmost accuracy and ergonomic properties to satisfy patients’ requirements. It is not only ergonomically correct for the patient’s comfort, but also very accurate. The human oral anatomy and the optimal distribution of the impression material were predominate considerations in the design.

All Cleaner

All Cleaner is the ideal cleaning solution to remove residue left by alginates, plasters or cement on impression trays and instruments.

Quick and easy to use, All Cleaner is available as a concentrated liquid and a powder.

  • Concentrated Liquid (ALC100): make a ready-to-use solution by diluting 1 part liquid to 9 parts water
  • Powder (ACX015): make a ready-to-use solution by pouring 1 packet of powder into 1 liter of water

Usage

Recommended submersion times: alginate 3 hours (dissolution: 0.05 g/h), plaster 5 hours (dissolution: 0.04 g/h); cements 8 hours (dissolution 0.03 g/h). An excessive increase in dissolution time indicates the need to replace the solution. Using ultrasonic cleaners reduces submersion timings.

6 steps to use all cleaner powder

If used correctly, All Cleaner Powder does not damage or dull stainless steel surfaces. Submersion of aluminum instruments for long periods can cause deterioration. After submersions, instruments must be rinsed well with water.

Instruments and impression trays must be subjected to cleaning and sterilization before their use.

Personal Krono

Personal Krono is a liquid retardant, used to increase the working time of LASCOD’s alginates. Often a retardant is necessary to help balance significant environmental and water-temperature changes, or sometimes operational requirements if the alginate calls for it. Every drop of Personal Krono added to the water used to mix the alginate lengthens the working time by 20 seconds.

Personal Krono is not a chemical retardant. Therefore, it does not affect the chemical component balance. Also, the in-mouth setting time remains unaffected. Personal Krono is extremely useful to extend the working time during warmer seasons or simply when you need a lengthened working time.

Please note: it is necessary to use Personal Krono when taking impressions with a syringe.

Time Out

TimeOut is a plaster retardant, and it works with all plasters manufactured by LASCOD. Each drop of plaster retardant lengthens the working time by 20 seconds. To use, add the liquid retardant to the water used to mix the plaster.

TimeOut is not a chemical retardant; therefore, it does not affect the plaster’s chemical component balance. TimeOut is extremely useful to increase the working time when several models are prepared at the same time (MCT-multiple casting technique) or to balance the effects of mechanical mixing.
